Can it also be used in combination with hot drinks/water? Heat resistant?

According to the instructions, you must not mix any liquid above 50 degrees Celsius. I used to warm mine up at 50 degrees for a few minutes and then mix tea at 70-80 degrees. This worked well, but after 3 months it started to leak.
