It is located in my basement in the hallway and dehumidifies the entire basement of approx. 70m2 with the doors open. It draws out an incredible amount of water, very efficiently!
The volume is ok. I am very sensitive to noise and actually find it quite pleasant. It's a steady hiss.
But, as I said, it's in the basement. I wouldn't necessarily sleep right next to it.
However, I would give it a clear recommendation to buy.

Good morning, it works very well, it is a bit noisy though. At night it can be annoying near the rooms.

I don't think it would work efficient this way. It is pretty loud, sleeping next to it wouldn't be pleasant.
