Grating carrots by hand is tedious. Even with a big kitchen machine, which we have, not ideal. I never do anything else in the kitchen. Yes, badly! But now even I like to use this appliance again and again. Handy, super result and quite easy to clean. You just have to choose the right bowl to collect the grated stuff and prevent it from getting next to it. As additional information: I have a second-hand shop for household electronics. We recently had this appliance there: very old, but still in tip-top condition. So a long life is to be expected. I recommend it.
