It has a dust plastic box installed into the actual robot, very easy to empty and clean if needed.
And yes, it detects carpets!

Into the big tank there are two containers: one with clean water and the other one with the dirty water.

There is a dust container in the robot for emptying. There is a fresh water tank and a dirty water tank in the station. The robot does not have its own water tank. It wets the two mops. It also has carpet detection. There are numerous settings that you can set up. It is sensationally good for the money.

Confirmed, there is no need to buy bags as the dust container is removable. It is not very large, so I recommend emptying it after each use.
