I can't tell you whether the 92 degrees I set are really 92 degrees. I've never measured it. However, I think it's a cool feature to be able to regulate the temperature to the exact degree. If the coffee doesn't taste good, you can also adjust the temperature. We've had the appliance for two years now and are very satisfied. We prepare the coffee with osmosis water. It lacks the rich crema (foam) on the coffee, but it is very tasty and the machine has not built up a trace of limescale. :-) I would make the investment again.

What is an "effeltive" temperature for you?
When you switch on the Asacso, wait for at least 3 minutes - mine is set to 93 degrees.
Then you have to rinse the machine and the PID will readjust the temperature.
Temperature fluctuations are normal, the ingenious thing about the machine is that it is a thermoblock and lets coffee out after 3 minutes.
If you want to become a coffee professional like me, the temperature comes last. First of all grind + cycle time.
A coffee has to last about 30 seconds. You can regulate the temperature at the end if the coffee has too much acidity then you regulate it down by 1 degree or too little +1 degree.
Every time you buy a new type of coffee, you start all over again.
