Hi, I've just bought the G10 plus, it works perfectly but it smells of plastic. Is this normal?

Yes, I do have a bit of an odour, but it's similar to a hairdryer. Uncritical.
For me too. I already wanted to complain about it, as it is still there after some time or use.
