Absolutely.
The brush that spins over the floor is very soft, so when the floor is out, the brush cleans just as well, but it will wear out faster.
We have parquet and flagstone floors and I still have the first brush roll after almost 2 years. However, the Bissel doesn't run all the time, more like once a week.
