The vacuum does not work for me - the operating instructions are not really clear. What could be the reason for this?

The opening of the vacuum bag must be placed in the vacuum chamber, i.e. the one surrounded by the rubber seals. If the opening goes over the vacuum chamber, vacuuming will not take place.
