Question about SodaStream Duo
Total bitchmove by multi-million corporation SodaStream to exchange the classic CO2 cylinder connection with thread for a new proprietary special form. No sooner has their market power waned, with which they have sold overpriced CO2 cylinders for years/decades, than they think about how they can block third-party suppliers again - and the "CQC" connection was born. It's sad that SodaStream never managed to logically develop their existing water bubbler systems further, namely towards a combination device that allows both glass and plastic bottles.
UPDATE: I can only recommend the Aldi Combi Water Sprinkler (own brand) to everyone. It's not permanently in the range, but when it is, there are glass and plastic bottles for a few dollars as accessories. And it works with the classic CO2 cylinders.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. However, the new connection is actually better to handle. But that still doesn't justify changing it. I fell in completely, we had 3 oxygen bottles, none of which fit any more, of course. In addition, the amount indicated on the drinking bottle is not correct, there is more space, but not what is indicated. We fell in twice. Nevertheless, the glass bottle is a win-win for us. The plastic bottle is somehow unappetising.
