When making sauces that contain little liquid, such as pesto (lots of basil, relatively little oil), there is no mixing. I.e. when all the ingredients are in and I operate the blender, only the lower part is chopped up while the ingredients in the upper 3/4 stand still. Actually, the whirling motion should mix the ingredients. How should I deal with this? I always put the heavy ingredients on top so that they push the rest down. Without success.
It needs a sufficient amount of leaves and liquid.
