The part is made of high-quality aluminium and glass, but it is also very heavy. The manufacturing is first-class, it doesn't look like something from China.
The handling takes a little getting used to, it's just (too much) German engineering know-how, which means that the practicality, cleaning and price are compromised. The BMW of kettles... -:)
