Aco Sport Sand Trap Channel Elastic

The Aco Sport Sand Trap Channel Elastic reliably keeps displaced sand away and is ideally used in long jump pits when the adjacent sports surfaces are made of synthetic material. The displaced sand, which is unavoidable during jumping competitions, is captured by the sand traps and kept away from the adjacent surface. Additionally, it protects the synthetic surface from abrasion and wear while maintaining water permeability. The formation of puddles is prevented, leading to a significant reduction in maintenance and upkeep costs.

Installation of the Sand Trap Channels

The sand trap channels can be installed in a single or double row around the long jump facility, depending on the required total width, but not in the take-off area. Together with the Aco Sport Elastic edge stones, they are installed 6 cm wide as a boundary for the pit. This increases the outer dimension of the sand pit by 12 cm. To compensate for the resulting offset, leveling pieces with a length of 56 cm are included in the delivery. For further details, please refer to the respective installation instructions.
