Our BikeYoke Shifty is a small but highly effective adjustment piece for your 1x11 or 1x12 SRAM drivetrain. Especially in adverse weather conditions with water, dirt, and mud exposure, it's important to note that SRAM 1x11 and 1x12 derailleurs significantly lose shifting accuracy because the original sprocket pulley, with its plastic body, rotates unsealed on a steel axle. The friction between these two parts increases dramatically when it gets really dirty. This is particularly noticeable on "steep" climbs, where the cable tension decreases and no longer provides sufficient friction to engage the sprocket. Instead of rotating with the pulley, the shift cable glides with increased friction over the sprocket, causing so-called "phantom shifts" or inaccurate shifting. Shifty is made from anodized 6061-T6 aluminum and is mounted on a double-sealed stainless steel ball bearing, allowing for ultra-fast shifting even in dirt. Each Shifty now comes with a free screw set, enabling it to be mounted on common and more affordable derailleurs (e.g., GX Eagle and NX Eagle), where there is no original mounting option. You just need to remove the original rivet, and then the Shifty can be installed using the included screw set.
