The e12 CONTACT has been equipped by Bridgestone engineers with the next generation in contact improvement. It is designed for players looking for a combination of even more length and forgiveness combined with an exceptionally soft feel and improved short game performance.
The real game changer of the ball is the new Contact Force Dimples design. Each dimple has a unique structure with a raised area in the center and an outer portion that slows horizontal rotation during flight, reducing sideways spin in the flight phase. The raised area allows 38 percent more contact with the clubface at impact than conventional dimples patterns. As a result, energy transfer is more efficient and core activation is improved, according to Bridgestone. The result is faster ball speed and more length due to less deviation with each club in the bag.
For pitches and chips, the dimples pattern provides more spin and control due to the longer contact time with the clubface and the resulting increased friction. On putts, the increased contact also positively impacts performance with more consistent results.
In addition, a new, softer core contributes to a significantly improved feel on all shots.
The Bridgestone e12 CONTACT also has a cover made of a new high-performance polymer material with added surfactant. This combination gives the ball more thrust and a higher initial speed after impact.
