The main features of the Maui fin are its lightweight design and ease of use, even for individuals with untrained legs. Due to its weight and dimensions, it can be easily stored, making it ideal for travel. The blade is made from two materials, providing exceptional comfort and performance. It essentially consists of two rigid side wings that direct the water flow to the center area, where a softer and more elastic material adds flexibility. This design allows the fin to flex and creates a "spoon effect," resulting in significant propulsion power. The fin can be used barefoot or with light socks. The fabric covering of the EBS strap prevents it from stretching out. The heel part is made from soft, anatomically shaped thermo-rubber. The strap for putting on the fin wraps around the ankle, ensuring it does not protrude and does not chafe while swimming. Although the EBS itself offers great adaptability and makes putting on the fin very easy, we have equipped the elastic band with a clamp that allows for further adjustment. This feature enables the user to make micro-adjustments—depending on whether they are wearing a sock or not—or simply to loosen or tighten the strap to ensure that the foot is held securely in place without excessive pressure.
