Product details
Robust climbing rope with a diameter of 9.6 mm. The Parrot 2R 9.6 from Edelrid is a durable all-round rope with a diameter of 9.6 mm and an ecologically reduced footprint. The "2R" in this rope stands for "Reuse," indicating the use of high-quality leftover yarns from in-house production. According to the manufacturer, the properties and strength values are identical to those of a comparable rope made from virgin yarns.
Thermo Shield finishing. Thermo Shield is the basic finishing treatment that Edelrid applies to all its ropes to ensure the proven flexibility of Edelrid ropes. This finishing is a thermal process that perfectly aligns the core and sheath yarns. Through a special heat treatment, the fibers in the rope relax and shrink out. This harmonizes the sliding properties of the yarns within the rope, making it supple and compact. This results in ropes that neither shrink back nor become stiff quickly.
Key features at a glance:
- Pleasant handling thanks to Thermo Shield treatment
- Ready to use without tangling thanks to 3D-Lapcoiling
- Reduced ecological footprint through the reuse (2R) of high-quality leftover yarns from in-house production
- Unique design: The use of rope remnants leads to variations in the patterns and colors of the rope.
