With decades of expertise from extensive research and development, MIKASA has utilized feedback from the world's best players and coaches to create a new beach volleyball that is based on cutting-edge and environmentally friendly technology.

The new ball, officially named Beach Pro BV550C, features a construction of ten perfectly balanced panels and a double-layer textile carcass on a double-layer "NoLeak" butyl rubber bladder.

The color contrast of the tricolor combination ensures excellent and improved visibility. In addition to these visual innovations, MIKASA also introduces the proven dimple technology, known from indoor volleyball, for the first time in beach volleyball with the BV550C.

The many small indentations (dimples) on the surface material not only enhance grip but also provide maximum and sensitive ball control. The patented and unique TwinSTLock seam technology has been improved so that the BV550C is now nearly waterproof, eliminating the risk of the ball gaining weight in the rain.

To enhance the durability and airtightness of the ball, a new valve design has been developed to prevent micro-sand from entering the air needle socket and to avoid damage to the valve core. MIKASA has also placed great emphasis on sustainability in the choice of materials. The surface material is a high-quality synthetic leather made from recycled nylon, and no solvent-based paints are used.

The Beach Pro BV550C carries the additional designation "FIVB Official Game Ball," making it the official game ball of the world federation and Volleyball World.
