Product details

POC Levator MIPS Visor Ski Helmet - Hydrogen White/Aventurine Yellow Matt

Designed to enhance safety and provide absolute functionality on the mountain, the new Levator MIPS combines an integrated visor with improved protective zones around the head for added security on the slopes. The extended visor offers a larger field of vision than any POC goggles, ensuring that your peripheral vision is as good as physically possible. A simple lens change mechanism makes swapping lenses easy, so you always have the best visibility for the conditions. An additional lens, the POC Clarity Comp Low Light lens, is included to ensure you can ski with optimal visibility in a wider range of lighting conditions. While the large Clarity lens ensures you stand out, the helmet features safety technology beneath the shell. Multi-impact protection zones are located in areas most likely to be hit during a fall, and the zones around the back of the head are thicker for added protection. MIPS Evolve provides additional rotational impact protection, and a RECCO® avalanche rescue reflector enhances your visibility if you get lost in the mountains. Additional comfort comes in the form of soft Alcantara padding for an improved feel on the head. An EVA lining around the neck increases flexibility and comfort.

Weighing almost a kilo, the POC is almost a throwback to the old iron helmet days. Therefore not necessarily suitable for somewhat slimmer users. The contrasts of the visor and the wearing of goggles underneath were convincing. The visor is easy to change as soon as you get the hang of it. Unfortunately, the mounts broke off on our first attempt. This needs to be improved.
