Yes. Four years for me. But tabs are hermetically sealed in foil. Claim much longer shelf life.

Basically, you only need to rinse the filter with clean water and tap it out. You can disinfect the filter every few weeks. I would use the Classic MC 10.000P (powder). Easier and cheaper: use oxygen bleach (soda). :-)
