Namche Bazar: For many, an important starting point for expeditions to the opulent peaks of the Himalayas and a place of longing for alpine fans. Rab has aptly named its technical rain jacket, the Namche GTX Jacket Men, after this Nepalese location, as this jacket also aims to reach great heights - in both senses. First and foremost, this model is equipped for demanding alpine sports: the hood is helmet-compatible and can be intuitively adjusted, the pockets are positioned higher for easy access even with a closed backpack strap, the underarm ventilation ensures airflow, the durable outer material withstands rough rock contact, and the slim fit with an extended back protects you while allowing for a high range of motion. "Reaching great heights" also refers to the sustainable approach. Rab manufactures the outer material of the Namche GTX from completely recycled, fluorocarbon-free fabric, and the waterproofing is provided by a GORE-TEX® membrane without ePTFE. Instead, expanded polyethylene and polyurethane are used, which are recyclable at the end of the product's life. Furthermore, the impregnation is PFC-free, and the fabric is dyed using a jet dyeing process, which consumes less energy than conventional dyeing methods. The result is a high-performance, waterproof jacket that is responsibly made and durable. Its uncompromising weather resistance, manageable weight and pack size, and excellent freedom of movement offer you the complete package for your adventures, which can certainly be quite challenging!.
