Our MTN Trainer 2 was designed in Montebelluna, the cradle of alpine shoe craftsmanship. It is a robust and versatile low-cut shoe for alpine approaches, characterized by a high-quality 1.6 mm thick suede upper and a Vibram sole.

The durable upper features a protective rubber rand for 360° abrasion resistance on rocky terrain and footholds, as well as a quick-drying GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining for lasting waterproof protection and optimized breathability. It is equipped with a protective elastic cuff under the laces to shield against rain and water. The improved last construction is 15% lighter and more flexible than the original, providing a comfortable fit. The PU midsole ensures long-lasting cushioning and rebound.

The multifunctional Vibram sole offers agility and stability on rough terrain. Its deep, self-cleaning grooves and aggressive lugs guarantee ideal grip on rocks and gravel, as well as optimal traction on mud and grass. The midfoot area features a special Via Ferrata profile with precise, right-angled lugs. These maximize the force exerted over the foot for better grip on the rungs of metal ladders compared to a conventional shoe.

Our signature 3F system connects the instep area with the sole and heel, ensuring flexibility, proper fit, and secure hold. A cushioned OrthoLite insole wicks moisture away and helps keep feet cool. The climbing shoe's lacing system can also be precisely adjusted in the toe area to provide better precision and grip on technical terrain.
