The Ortles TirolWool® Air Insulation Jacket is made from a blend of sustainable Tyrolean wool and partially recycled polyester. The hollow fibers of the material can trap air, effectively retaining body heat. As a result, the jacket offers high loft and insulation capability at a very low weight, keeping you warm even when wet. For additional abrasion protection, our patented, weatherproof Powertex® fabric is used on the hood, shoulders, upper arms, and sleeve cuffs.

The features of this lightweight insulation jacket are also tailored to the demands of alpine terrain: The helmet-compatible hood protects against cold and wind, the two-way front zipper allows access to the belay device, two mesh inner pockets provide space for small items, and the adjustable sleeve cuffs with Velcro and thumb loops can comfortably fit over thick winter gloves.
