Four independent cam segments provide better holding power in any crack. The new patented Direct Loading Camming Device System evenly distributes the load across each individual cam segment. This reduces the risk of an ineffective cam segment and the associated loss of stability of the device. Even if not all four cam segments engage with the rock, the Totem Cam is still load-bearing with just two cam lobes.
