Good day When I switch off the engine in my car, the 12-volt connection is switched off. Question: Do I have to switch the box on again each time I restart the engine or do the settings (on, cooling level) remain? Thanks a lot

Yes, everything is "saved". If the box is not switched off manually, all settings are retained. Also works when changing from shore power to 12 V or vice versa.
