Is this scooter really theft-proof or should it be locked with a lock? How high-maintenance is this scooter?

Good morning. I bought the scooter too. Due to its weight, it's certainly not something you can just carry away. The alarm and lights go on when you touch it, but it is still more reassuring to lock it. I would definitely also use a handcuff lock for the scooter. As far as maintenance is concerned, there are two things to consider: firstly, the wear on the brake pads, which is higher now in the cold season than in summer, and of course the tyres. I had to change the brake pads and bleed the hydraulic system after 1000 kilometres. The tyres need to be changed after about 2500 km, depending on how you ride. Be sure to watch the Segway service and repair videos on YouTube on the topic of changing tyres, because unfortunately it's not quite as easy as I initially thought with the scooter. I also had a service case after 5000 km with the scooter, but this was solved excellently by the Galaxus team. Please also note the size and weight with regard to transport and storage options Conclusion: the best riding experience you can imagine, simply out of this world Maintenance and servicing are therefore more complicated and more intensive than with normal scooters.
