The sole is a combination of TPU for the outsole and PU as a shock-absorbing midsole. Compared to pure PU soles, it is lighter, remarkably more flexible, and more resistant to cuts, breaks, abrasion, and wear. TPU soles feature the "wiper effect": the shoe "wipes" standing water off the ground, thereby increasing slip resistance. The transparency of the TPU part of the Duo sole is both visually appealing and a mark of quality. The Albatros Comfit AIR insole provides shock-absorbing elevations in the heel and ball areas, as well as support for the longitudinal arch. This optimizes the natural position of the foot in the shoe and stimulates the muscles while walking. The slip-resistant textile surface is odor-resistant, moisture-absorbing, and washable at 30 °C.
