With external control, the locks of the EL 520 model series feature a continuous lever cam and therefore require a changeable fitting (interior lever or panic handle, exterior knob or handle). The lock is activated by card readers, code locks, timers, buttons, etc. The bolt is retracted by an electric motor and is preloaded by a spring mechanism. When the door is closed, the control latch ensures the exclusion of the preloaded bolt and the locking of the cross latch, which serves as an additional locking mechanism. The lock operates on the working current principle and remains locked during a power outage, being able to be opened only with a key or by operating the interior lever. Features: self-locking with cross latch and bolt, mechanical control between cross and control latch, integrated panic function via the interior lever, change function for unlocking with a key from the outside, approval according to DIN EN 179 and DIN EN 1125, suitable for installation in fire protection doors, monitoring contacts for: bolt retracted / bolt extended, control latch lever activation, profile cylinder, electrical connection via motor lock control EA420, operating voltage: 12 - 24 V DC stabilized (-/+ 15%) and 12 - 18 V AC (-10% / +15%), nominal current consumption: 12 V DC: max. 1300 mA inrush current, during motor operation 12 V DC 450 mA, 24 V DC: max. 600 mA inrush current, during motor operation 24 V DC 220 mA, relay output load 24 V DC: 800 mA, operating temperature -20 °C to +60 °C, protection class (control) IP 40, dimensions (control) (W x H x D) 192 x 110 x 45 mm, bolt exclusion 20 mm, approvals: DIN EN 179, EC conformity certificate: 0432-CPR-00008-01, DIN EN 1125, EC conformity certificate: 0432-CPR-00008-02.
