The ESD safety occupational shoe QO500 from Birkenstock with replaceable footbed provides secure support and relieves the feet so that they can stand, walk and run comfortably for many hours a day at work, even in a challenging environment. The QO500 presents itself as a simple, modern sneaker with 6-hole lacing.
It is specially designed for people working in the microelectronic field or in high-frequency technology and actively provides a permanent gentle discharge for the wearer. The antistatic elements in the sole compensate for potential electrical voltage differences between people and the work environment by permanently grounding the feet and can be recognised by the circular yellow emblem.
Warning: The ESD range is up to 35 MOhm, so it does not have an insulating effect!
The slip-resistant as well as oil and petrol-resistant outsole also provides energy absorption in the heel area. The upper material is made of water-repellent smooth leather (WRU) and offers antistatic protection.
The shoe is certified according to EN ISO 20347:2012 and meets the requirements of protection class O2.
