The wall-mounted enclosure is made from very lightweight acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS), resulting in a weight reduction of about 50% for the same enclosure size. Despite the lower mass, the Fleet series enclosure proves to be a robust alternative with an impact resistance of IK08. ABS plastic exhibits high resistance to alkalis, oils, and salts. Unlike metal cabinets, the Fleet series has the advantage of being resistant to corrosive stresses without requiring any additional coating on the enclosure surface.

Particularly for outdoor use, effective sealing of the electronic components against external influences is essential. The plastic enclosures of the Fleet series feature a foamed polyurethane (PU) gasket. The PUR gasket is low-wear and robust against weather conditions and aging. Polyurethane remains elastic and resilient even with frequent operation of the cabinet door. In addition to the properties of ABS plastic, the enclosure gasket ensures an enclosure protection rating of IP65.
