As a safety device against excess pressure in closed heating systems with diaphragm expansion vessel according to TRD 721 and DIN 4751 - Part 2 and 3. The valve body is designed in an angular shape and made of pressed brass. By turning the knurled nut to the left, the valve can be closed.
