Additionally, the device is equipped with a ring circuit for hearing aid users, which transmits audio directly to a compatible hearing aid, facilitating communication between the resident and the visitor at the door. During operation, this ring circuit emits a magnetic alternating field that generates an electrical voltage in the hearing aid's receiving coil through electromagnetic induction, mirroring the audio signal. This voltage is amplified by the audio amplifier in the hearing aid and directed to the user's ear through the earphone. To utilize such induction loop systems, the hearing aid must have a so-called telephone coil (short: T-coil) that picks up the magnetic alternating field of the induction loop. Typically, when using the telephone coil, the microphone of the hearing aid is deactivated. Brightness, color, and volume of the ringtone can be adjusted, with options to select from various melodies. Standard features include buttons for door opening, with corresponding LED indicators, as well as 4 additional soft-touch buttons for call acceptance, self-activation, calling the concierge, and ringtone silencing. It also manages the floor call as a standard feature. There is an option to expand with 4 additional buttons using accessory item 6734W. Comes standard with 2 sets of 8-piece DIP switch units for addressing participant addresses and programming buttons. The monitor can only be used in the SB2 system.
