The door/window contact is a wireless, battery-operated Reed sensor compatible with Z-Wave. As soon as its two parts, namely the sensor housing and a magnet, are separated, a radio signal is sent. The door/window contact is designed for use with scenes in home automation systems and anywhere else where information about the opening/closing of doors, windows, garage doors, etc., is needed.
