The new 54 Volt XR FLEXVOLT batteries from DEWALT provide power for the heaviest applications. The innovative Li-Ion batteries are backward compatible and can be used in nearly all machines from the 18 Volt XR range. They feature a very high battery capacity of 162 Wh, making them ideal for extremely heavy applications over extended periods. Effective protection against overload, overheating, and deep discharge is ensured by special electronics. With a battery capacity of 9.0 Ah (in 18 Volt mode), they offer an impressive runtime. The robust housing and shock-resistant soldered battery cells make them perfect for tough job site use. The battery can be easily transported, as the mechanical separation of the cell levels brings the watt-hour performance below the dangerous goods class 9 limit of 100 Wh. A charge status indicator with 3 LEDs is also included (activated by a button press). The batteries are compatible with all DeWALT XR cordless machines with 54 Volts as well as with 18 Volts (except for band saw DCS 371 and radios DCR 016, DCR 017, and Tough-Radio).
