Product details
The outdated DIN 14851 was adapted to the state of the art in 2011. The old version dated back to 1988 and the new pull hook is now lighter and easier to load in the vehicle. The overall length of the ripper hook with telescopic handle is 2.0 metres when pushed together. It can be extended to a maximum length of 3.20 metres. The total length can be extended to a maximum of 4.80 metres with the optional extension.
The most important changes at a glance:
- Handle now aluminium profile (previously wood)
- Reduced lengths
- the handle of the hook section is now infinitely telescopic, an invaluable advantage
- connection of the hook section via pins similar to DIN 14640
The standard was amended again at the end of 2014 to increase the safety of rescue workers when using this tool. The telescopic handle is now braked and cannot extend or retract on its own once the star grip nut has been loosened. End caps have been added to minimise the ingress of dirt into the system and a protective bag is now also supplied for the hook section.
Features:
- the pull-in hooks (both the telescopic tube and the hook itself) can withstand a tensile force of 2.5 kN in the longitudinal direction
- all connections are locked and secured with captive screws that can be operated without tools
- telescopic handle with non-slip grip and cold protection
- with brake in the telescopic handle, hook cannot retract and extend on its own
