Product details

The decorative white bowl made of high-quality ceramic with a coarse-mesh stainless steel sieve is ideal for the simple cultivation of wheatgrass, rye, and kamut without soil. The ceramic, handcrafted in Germany to the highest quality standards, is fired at 1220 °C, waterproof, free from health or environmental hazards, and completely food-safe with a matte white glaze. The bowl, in which the roots grow, simulates soil and protects against the effects of light exposure and heating. Its height provides the robust root system with the necessary space for healthy growth. The harvest from one sieve yields approximately 3-5 daily portions of grass/root juice. The edge protection of the stainless steel sieve is made from food-safe PE. The stainless steel sieve (without edge protection) and the ceramic bowl are dishwasher safe. Wheatgrass has the highest chlorophyll content of all grasses and thus contributes to blood formation. It contains vital nutrients in the highest concentration, all essential amino acids in a balanced ratio, numerous enzymes, including all digestive enzymes, and has strong alkaline, antibacterial, detoxifying properties that boost the immune system. For one sieve, about 70-80 g of wheat grains are needed, from which wheat sprouts are first grown. It is recommended to soak the wheat grains for 8 to 12 hours and then rinse them twice daily with fresh water. After about 2-3 days, the sprout and root of the wheat grains will be about half a centimeter long and can be evenly distributed on the wheatgrass sieve. After 12-14 days, the grass will have grown to 12 to 15 cm tall and can be harvested with scissors. The optimal time for harvesting is just before the grass begins to fade. The grass and roots are pressed into fresh juice immediately after harvesting.
