Four-point bearings belong to the category of single-row angular contact ball bearings and therefore require significantly less axial space than double-row designs. The bearings consist of solid outer rings, split inner rings, and ball cages. The two-part inner rings allow for a large number of balls to be accommodated. The inner ring halves are tailored to the specific bearing and should not be interchanged with those of the same size from other bearings. The outer ring with the ball cage and the two inner ring halves can be installed separately. The different versions are identified by so-called suffixes: C3, C4 = clearance class, MPA = solid brass cage, TVP2 = solid plastic cage, N2 = 2 retaining grooves on the outer ring.
