Self-locating ball bearings. Self-aligning ball bearings of the FAG brand of the Schaeffler Group are double-row, self-retaining units. They comprise solid outer rings with a hollow spherical raceway, inner rings with a cylindrical or tapered bore, and ball and cage assemblies. The bearings are available in open and sealed versions. Features and benefits include lower operating costs, lower maintenance thanks to improved lubrication, lower heat generation, less noise generation, and the ability to be subjected to axial and radial forces.
