This allows the battery to be operated in any position, even upside down, without loss of capacity. The electrodes are made of a special antimony-free lead alloy. This results in a very low self-discharge of less than 3% per month. The robust housing material is an impact- and break-resistant as well as corrosion- and ageing-resistant ABS plastic. FG lead accumulators are deep discharge-proof, they can be recharged after a deep discharge. In principle, however, they should be recharged immediately after a discharge.
