The built-in and highly absorbent microporous separator binds a maximum amount of pure electrolyte and thus permanently isolates the electrodes from each other. This enables you to operate the FG10381 lead-acid battery in any position, whether upright, sideways or even upside down, the capacity remains permanent and is not lost. Thanks to the special, antimony-free lead alloy of the electrodes, the FG 10831 PB battery has an incredibly low self-discharge rate of approx. 3 % per month. The housing is made of ABS plastic, which means that the outside of the battery is impact-resistant and break-proof as well as absolutely resistant to corrosion and ageing. However, care should always be taken to ensure that the battery is fully recharged after every heavy or prolonged discharge or extended period of storage. Batteries with the same capacity can be connected in series or in parallel without splitting the charge, but the batteries must be from the same batch. At approx. 20° C, the manufacturer Fiamm specifies a service life of approx. up to 5 years, and these 2 batteries 6 volt 3.8Ah are often assembled into a pack which then reaches a maximum of 12 volts 8Ah and a minimum of 7.6Ah. Also suitable as a replacement battery for the Horex 400 Regina and all identical models that have a battery pack consisting of 2 6V 3.8Ah batteries, please note that 2 pieces are required here. To replace yourself, the wiring harness is used from the old pack and the 2 new batteries are connected together once at the positive and negative terminals thanks to the wiring harness.
