The swimming skimmer is ideal for clearing the pond surface of pollen, leaves, and larger dirt particles. An attached pump creates a thin film of water that is suctioned off, generating a current. Dirt particles larger than approximately 10 mm are trapped in the floating basket and must be removed regularly to maintain the skimmer's full performance. Smaller dirt particles are transported through the pump to the connected filtration system. This ensures that the water surface remains clean, reducing nutrient load and algae formation.
