Without a suitable grounding system, your electric fence device will not function. Always use galvanized grounding rods. For battery power supplies, a 1 m long grounding rod with a clamp is required. For mains power supplies, you need a 1.7 m long grounding rod with a clamp. To improve the grounding of dry batteries, use the 0.5 m long grounding rod with 3 m of wire.
