The GARDENA smart Sensor reliably measures soil temperature and accurately determines soil moisture over an extra-large sensor zone exactly where it matters, at the roots of the plants. This can be done deep in the lawn and flower beds or in shallower flower pots. In combination with the GARDENA smart Water Control or smart Irrigation Control from the GARDENA smart System, the sensor ensures demand-oriented and efficient watering of the plants. The smart Sensor transmits the current status data to the GARDENA Gateway via radio. If the sensor measurement indicates that the soil is sufficiently moist, the next watering is skipped. The flat sensor protrudes only 20 mm from the ground and can remain on the lawn where a robotic mower is in use without being damaged.
