Hob guardian sensor with wireless shutdown unit and potential-free switching output, 400V AC. The hob guardian according to DIN EN 50615 serves as a safety device to prevent and detect fires caused by cooking or forgotten items on the cooktop or stove. It is a two-part hob guardian for indoor use, consisting of a voltage interruption unit and a sensor unit with battery power supply and wireless send-receive module. The wireless connection between the sensor unit and the voltage interruption unit is established automatically. Pre-set parameters determine the danger potential and trigger a pre-alarm if necessary. If this is not acknowledged by the user, the voltage interruption unit will cut off the power supply.

The sensor unit monitors the immediate vicinity of the stove, e.g., under the range hood, for temperature and movement. The unit consists of a surface-mounted housing with a front cover, operation buttons, status LED, battery status LED, and mounting bracket.

Functions: Sensors for temperature and movement, status LEDs inform the user about signal alarm tones, battery status, and an automatic touch protection that can be disabled. The voltage interruption unit is designed for wall mounting next to the stove connection or lying on the floor in close proximity to the cooking surface. The unit consists of a surface-mounted housing, cable entry, breakout opening for flush-mounted hollow wall boxes (box not included), connection terminals, and potential-free normally closed contacts as universal interfaces for signal forwarding, as well as a connection socket for a water leakage sensor.
