The maintenance-free sealed lead batteries of the SBS series are manufactured using unique and proven pure lead technology, offering a long service life in an energy-dense and compact design. SBS batteries are produced according to the highest international standards and have proven their high reliability in cable television, broadband networks, power plants, offshore applications, as well as in indoor and outdoor applications. The extremely high energy density allows for space savings of up to 30% compared to conventional technology. SBS batteries can be installed either upright or on their side in racks, battery cabinets, or battery compartments. The service life in standby parallel operation at an ambient temperature of 20 °C is 12 years according to EUROBAT.
