HomeMatic IP Passage Sensor with Direction Detection

The HomeMatic IP Passage Sensor with direction detection is part of the HomeMatic IP smart home system and reliably detects people passing through a door or passageway. It registers both the number of people and the direction of passage. The sensor detects individuals both day and night within a detection range of up to 4.5 meters. The detection angle is 66 degrees.

When used in conjunction with other HomeMatic IP devices, countless usage scenarios can be implemented. For example, the room light can be automatically turned on when entering and turned off again when leaving. Additionally, the sensor can be used to trigger an alarm.

The device is mounted horizontally to the ground and can be placed not only in door frames but also on various surfaces and locations within the building. When mounted at a height above 80 centimeters, the detection of pets is avoided. An integrated tamper contact provides additional security.

Two LR6 batteries typically power the passage sensor for two years. Installation can be done using double-sided adhesive tape or with two small screws. The necessary mounting materials are included.
