The annealing process improves the structural material properties and allows the use of the terminals even under mechanical vibrations. A tinning of the surface provides protection against corrosion. The sleeve is soldered. The roughened surface of the sleeve enhances the contact with the conductor and increases the tensile strength of the connection.
