Under the KfW funding program 440, the establishment of private charging points for electric vehicles in residential buildings (or their associated garages) and on privately used parking spaces is supported. To be eligible for funding, the wallbox must be an intelligent charging station that can communicate with other components in the power grid. All models of the KeContact P30 x- and c-series, the P30 Germany Edition, and the climate-neutral P30 Green Edition Germany feature various communication interfaces such as UDP, Modbus TCP, or OCPP, making them eligible for KfW funding. The purchase of a charging station as well as the necessary installation and commissioning by a qualified electrical contractor are subsidized. The contractor provides the required confirmation of the throttling of the charging power to 11 kW. Since the end of October 2021, the KfW funding resources have been exhausted, meaning that no new funding applications can be submitted. Ongoing applications are not affected by this. Therefore, anyone who has already submitted an application or received an application confirmation still has a grant reserved for the purchase and installation of the charging station.
