The Type 2 connector of the cable is simply plugged into the car, while the protective contact plug goes into the socket. The charging process starts and ends automatically through the onboard electronics. The LAPP charging station is suitable for plug-in hybrid PHEV and battery electric vehicles BEV. The power adapter is intended for use with the separately available Mode 2 charger "Universal Charging Station" for Type 2 electric cars. It enables easy charging of up to 2.3 kW at household sockets CEE 7/3, plug type E/F – ideal for use in the home garage or as an emergency charging cable while traveling. The adapter for the Universal Charging Station offers maximum flexibility for mobile charging and eliminates the need to purchase an additional Type 2 charging cable. The charging adapter ensures safe, stable charging at a nominal voltage of 230 V AC and operates within a temperature range of -25 °C to 45 °C. Robust, drive-over safe cables and the connector with silver-plated contacts guarantee exceptional durability. A protective cap on the connector shields it from dust, dirt, and water when stored uncoupled.
