This duct fan can be used for ventilation or air extraction depending on the installation position in the duct. The housing is made of impact-resistant plastic and has protection class II. The color is traffic white, similar to RAL 9016. Protection against accidental contact according to DIN EN 13857 is required, for example, with a protective grille and an air flap, which are available as accessories. The fan is speed controllable, except for the model ECA 15/2 E. It features a robust, maintenance-free motor with ball bearings, suitable for continuous operation, as well as thermal overload protection. Due to the use of phase-cut control, a physically induced humming noise may occur at lower speeds.
