As a general rule, we recommend taking down the roof before heavy rain showers. We must also point out that the cover must be removed in case of snow, as the roof beams are not designed to bear that load.

The pergola is assembled with screws made of steel, which cannot be powder-coated. Therefore, they will rust over time under normal weather conditions. However, this rust usually only becomes visible when the roof is taken down. If this is a concern, the rust can be easily removed with commercially available rust removers.
